Communications Coordinator-Keep Daly families, teachers and staff aware of events and happenings by updating the PTA website, facebook page, maintaining the PTA bulletin board, sending emails and texts, and xeroxing notices to be put in the Wednesday Folders. Time commitment can be as little as 1 hour and most can be done from home.

Fundraising –Plan and organize the PTA’s major fundraisers of the year. Help is needed with reminder calls/sorting/delivery. Time commitment can be as little as one hour.

PTA Delegate-Attend the Montgomery County PTA meeting held the 4th Tuesday of the month and report back about what was discussed. Vote on issues that are discussed. Time commitment is 3-4 hours a month or every other month.

Translator (Spanish, French)-We want to be able to communicate with ALL of our Daly families- French and Spanish materials have been requested.

Volunteer Coordinator– School volunteer tasks currently needed include running the bulldog bones store, helping with the school garden, and placing scholastic classroom book orders. Time commitment can be as little as an hour a month.

Book Audit Committee– Once a year (in the spring) the books are audited by a committee of at least three people

Book Fair Committee– Many helping hands are needed! Can you donate an hour or two? Tasks include setting up, helping kids pick out books, running the cash register, filling out teacher’s book wish lists. Daytime and evening hours available.

Spirit Nights -Make sure the forms and stickers are distributed to classrooms once a month- time commitment is 2-3 hours a month.

Cultural Arts & Academic Enrichment-Partner with the school administration to coordinate programs such as guest speakers, assemblies, Big Learning Science, International Night, the Spelling Bee and the Spring Read A Thon.

Movie Night-Organize a movie night – includes ordering the movie, running a snack bar, selling tickets, etc.

Reflections Art Program-Our students get to shine and show us their talents by creating art, poems, movies, and dance to be entered in a national contest. We need help to promote the program and judge the entries. Wouldn’t it be fun to hold an Artist’s Showcase?

Staff Appreciation-Plan and coordinate staff appreciation events such as quarterly breakfasts/luncheons and teacher appreciation week activities. Can you help with baking items for staff luncheons?

WatchD.O.G.S – WatchD.O.G.S help at the beginning and dismissal of school and are also needed to organize games during recess time. Time commitment can be 1-2 hours a month.
